We were in Houston for the very end of Katrina, saw the refugees, outside the Astrodome and stopped to try and help...they wouldn't let us without going through some week long registration process...couldn't even unload a truck or help to set up a cot or tent or anything. We felt so helpless. We were only there for a day or two, and had wanted to volunteer. i admire everyone who was there for their strength...wow.
As far as chasing goes...i'd rather follow a tornado and get great pix (as i know where the damn thing is), and be able to lend a hand in the aftermath than watch it on tv and not be close enough to help. They usually close a town down after tornadoes hit and no one gets in without credentials...and i have none lol, so i would have to go through a week long registration, i'm sure. Red Tape, gotta love it!

Hi Euryleia (still takes effort not to spell it wrong haha), hope you're not melting in that heat. Been humid here for the past couple of days, maybe we'll get some storms to chase. Master has a new light bar that he is installing on our truck right now, so we can be seen out there! Maybe we'll have some good pix to share soon.

Sorry, out of luck on that one!! But the weekend is going well!

i hate it when it's so hot! it was 105 here last week, and the a/c couldn't keep up! i know it gets all muggy there, wow...i dunno which is the lesser of two evils-dry heat or humid heat...but i don't like em lol.
