Misty Mornings

Misty stretched languidly under the sheets, limbs extended, arching her back, her usually bright eyes foggy with sleep. Yawning she focused her eyes on her companion. She ran her tongue over her lips as she watched Maya stir, her eyelashes fluttering. Curling into a nonchalant ball Misty let one eye fall lazily shut but kept one open and trained on her.

Maya flung the sheets off her naked body with a sigh as Misty watched. Performing her own stretching ritual into wakefulness, her smooth skin a contrast to Misty’s. They were so different and yet the woman adored Misty, although she did her best to appear like she didn’t notice.

Maya kept her eyes closed as she ran her fingers over her torso. Trailing up and down, over and around her navel. Lazy, slow caresses over her breasts before venturing down between her legs. Lingering. Soft, yet firm. Firm, yet soft. Her breath quickening, she gasped a little as her fingertips played lightly over her mound and the trail of curls there, exploring and teasing herself. Misty watched curiously and contemplated a move closer when the door opened and Daniel entered the room.

Misty glared at him but he didn’t even look at her. His eyes were on Maya, they always were, and right now he was really, really pleased with what he saw. Misty could almost smell his smug masculinity. Striding over to the bed he bent over Maya and put his hand over hers and she looked up at him and smiled softly at his touch. Welcoming his attention by parting her legs and accepting his kiss as he leaned in to meet her. Their kiss was deep and wanting and Misty felt a primal pang of jealousy and also curiosity of an intimacy she didn’t really understand.

Daniel came up for air long enough to slide out of his pants and discard his tshirt before he fell back onto Maya, kissing, tasting, devouring her lightly and then more urgently. His hands roving over her soft curves, his lips nibbling at pert nipples and biting the crook of her neck, making her moan. Her arms wrapped around his neck pulling him close and her legs moved up and parted to entwine around his waist. Daniel still hadn’t acknowledged Misty. He was, in fact, becoming expert at making Misty feel like a third wheel. She couldn’t help letting a small, barely audible hiss escape from her lips.

Daniel glanced in her direction, finally, and she saw a scowl immediately shadow his face.

“Shoo!!” he growled and made a move to push her off the bed. Misty leaped out of reach just in time and Maya cried out, “Dan! You’re so mean!”

“Baby, I –can’t- when she’s watching”, he muttered.

Misty didn’t wait to hear the same old argument, she was already on her way to the door. She lingered at the doorway, thinking maybe Maya would try and stop her, cooing and cajoling as she often did. But all she heard was Daniel whispering suggestively and Maya’s murmurs of pleasure and then soft moans again.

Raising her head high, Misty padded down the hall, her escape from this tedious situation just around the corner. She glanced back at the doorway she’d just exited before turning into the kitchen and toward the back door. A few more steps and a perfectly timed leap and she was through the cat flap. “Humans!!” she thought, contemptuously. And with a twitch of her ear and a meow she sauntered away from the house to bask in the sun.
