    Dark Side of the Moon

You lay there gone and peaceful
The man I see is not you
I can't help but stare, nothing is there
You are gone mind and soul
My broken heart cannot let you go
My mind remembers you, but yours does not exist
I long to touch you, but I do not dare
Your body is still, cold, my eyes are glued
I say goodbye but I'm not ready
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon
    I love you

How terrifying to feel that loss. The black and whiteness of reality cloaked with the colour of memory. Thank you x
I, with a deeper instinct, choose a man who compels my strength, who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or my toughness, who does not believe me naive or innocent, who has the courage to treat me like a woman.

I'm not sure if this line was intended to have a double meaning

"Your body is still, cold, my eyes are glued"

The first means you cannot look away, which I'm sure you meant. But when I read that, my first thought was, "Wait, is she dead too?" Because I believe sometimes the eyes of the deceased are glued shut. And then I corrected that based on the context, but I thought that it was interesting...it was like a hint that part of you had died too while gazing on him.

Whether you thought of that when you wrote it doesn't really matter as much as the fact that it's there. It's such a sad poem because it's a loss, but that one part shows an eternal connection, which in my opinion, created a beautifully melancholy paradox.
