The only thing the site can control is what different usergroups see what... in other words, you are a registered user, so you can see different things then a non-logged in or non-registered user can see--they STILL can't see the main forums areas, just the basic stuff they've been able to see since before the upgrade (not much... I think its just specific subforums in the info area...). Access hasn't changed for any of that type of stuff.

HOWEVER, once you log in, your browser caches the cookies for the page you are on--in other words, you will forever be able to see the page you are currently on if you never close your browser. That page will never refresh itself & you won't be able to post--you'll just be able to see what it was when you loaded it. It's the same thing that happens for every website you see anywhere on the net... That's the same reason that web-based email programs (yahoo, hotmail, gmail) always are careful to warn you to log out & close your browser windows--anyone coming onto the computer after you can see what you last had opened if you don't just close the screen. The way to prevent this is to clear your cookies every time you log off the site--and not just via the site--you need to clear them in your BROWSER. It's up to you to maintain "safety" for yourself.

As for the 15min "log out" rule, if you have the "Remember me" button checked, you wont be logged out (at least I never am), but if you don't and you are inactive in the forums for 15min, it'll log you out.

As always, have fun, but play safe. If you don't want someone seeing that you're here, you either shouldn't be here, or you should have measures in place to ensure they don't "catch" you... None of this is news to anyone, I would hope.
