    A poem

I walk through the wasteland alone
My spirit seeking its twin aching to connect
A fruitless task like leafing through an empty tome
Past experience haunts me, indifferent attitudes taunt me
I may drown in this sea of lonliness

I sit and stare at the screen
    Its images my only companions
Frozen moments in time from someone elses dreams
Selfinflicting pain that gives me pleasure
My only release my private treasure

    Reaching out in cyberspace
Never touching, never knowing what's really there
I know my patronage just adds to my to my despair
But ever hopeful I walk on
Just looking for a place to belong.

    Well done Greg!!!

What makes a good poem or story is being able to put
yourself into each and ever thought.

This one does that on a fine scale and
really invokes a great sense of imagery.

You most surely have that touch!!!
    Master Jeff-aka Professor Feather

It's made up of lonely moments
There was always a moment there when I knew
    You always gave instalments
Always knew u concentrated and grew

    And I believe in reinvention
Do you believe that life is holding the clue
Take away all the lonely moments
Give me full communication with you

Youre very in touch with your emotions, I think you did a wonderful job and look forward to more.
"Discipline gives total freedom; it allows you to go beyond your limitations,to break through boundaries and reach the highest goal. The path to discipline will not only save a person's life, it will also give it meaning. How? By introducing her to deeper joys and deeper longings, by creating a silence in which the whisper of the heart can be heard. Truly, discipline is the road to liberation."

Thank you Master Jeff and ladies. I will endeavour to write some more, my ego could certainly use the boost. I might add that it is high praise indeed given what I've read from all of you in these forums. Master Jeff your prose is outstanding, Daes own poetry most excellent, Subwife your short story in the competition was great and Silke your level headed advice and sense of humour makes me smile a lot.
